For some reason looking at the Gen 9 TCG cards on Bulbapedia has made me desperate to do a birbs-only run of Violet (I mean I already had the idea but seeing the coins of the Trickster Cat and Gay Duck made me realise just how desperate I am for this). I’m probably gonna call my Quaxly (if I do this) Captain both because it kinda looks like it would work well as a sea captain as Quaxly and Quaxwell and also because that’s the starter I paired Falcon up with in Paldea (well, in general really because apparently I think a gay duck would suit him more than a gay chicken)

I may not have managed to get to the point where I could face the event Charizard raids before the event ended, but I like to think that going from having 3 gym badges, 1 titan badge, and 1 star badge, to having all 18 badges and having done the ending + gym rematches + tournament, is pretty impressive progress for one day

Trying to truly truly 100% the pokedex in Pokemon Legends: Arceus (so, doing all the little tasks to have a perfect entry on every single pokemon) is actually turning out to be rather funny beneath the tedium. Right now it mostly consists of me taking my beloved Alpha Garchomp, Buttercup, out to the Obsidian Fieldlands and utterly decimating the local Shinx population. Buttercup is so so big. She's lvl 90. The Shinx are so little. Some are only lvl 2. They still try to challenge my badass giant dragon because they're dumbass little hyper-aggressive shits. It honestly feels a little mean.

honestly I always change and switch teams around but this is tentatively what I'm going with for Dawn's Sinnoh team for now, it's not super relevant to Way Out but it's the kind of thing I want to know anyway. Previously I had just kinda picked out generic 'strong' pokemon but I feel these suit her a lot better

I'm having this weird phenomenon where I wanted to replay Platinum but its kinda sucking the life out of me because I can't just play it it has to be further exploration of what Dawn's journey looked like and what her first team could've been and that's been fun to get the cogs turning and has given me a few ideas

but also I wish I could just enjoy it as a game without it becoming a mental exercise

lets give it up for pokemon public transit! going off the zones idea what if you unlock new zones by improving or helping out the transit system

the way id thought for it to happen was through this chain of events

- by helping out the baker lady, you can now bake poffins (this is one of the very first quests)

- poffins can be used as pokemon bait, but importantly they can also be used to invigorate and wake up sleeping snorlax

- snorlax have started to block the walkways in streets because the dumpsters behind restuarants attract them, so you cant walk by until you wake them up

- after waking them and helping them better integrate into the city as mascots for the different dining locations (basically a fat snorlax outside is the sign the food you serve is good, so stores begin competing as to whos snorlax is the best fed/cutest. it also prevents any food waste from table scraps!) you can then travel to the areas formerly blocked off by snorlax

- one of the formerly blocked areas was the grassy hills/powerplant zone, which is in need of repairs after a staraptor flew into one of the windmills after being disoriented by the glare of skyscrapers

- by repairing the power plant, the underground metro is opened up again, and you're rewarded with a forever train pass by the powerplant worker as thanks

- this unlocks fast travel throughout the city, and you can revisit any area youve formerly been to. the trainer character will refuse to fast travel to areas theyve never visited on foot before though, in similar fashion to the 'theres a time and place for everything' dialogue prompted by trying to use a key item innapropriately. this is because the pc is only 10 and not comfortable riding the train alone to new areas until theyve met someone there

- (suggested by my boyfriend) the loading screen in between areas could be the inside of a metro car, the people inside the car would gradually be the NPCs you help along the way. so it starts with a mostly empty car, or a car full of blank npcs, but by the end of the game the car would be full of almost entirely familiar faces

yknow, it is kinda weird that they made paul’s gliscor a recurring character with a sympathetic story about being driven out from its home and unintentionally creating this whole gligar pack (trapping them all in the city with it), getting ash’s gligar as an underling, implied it was going to be a rival to ash’s gligar, tying ash and paul’s teams together even tighter with the chimchar conflict, and then they just. didnt do anything with her after she beat gligar’s ass that one time

Baldur's Gate 3 Companion Head Canon Pokemon Edition

Might not be a surprise but I am a huge Pokemon fan (and very proud of my 1 and 0 in my pokedex). I wanted to do a crossover together with BG3. I always choose the last of the evolution line and base myself on aesthetic and dex entry (not much on stat or move). I also attribute one type per character as it was easier that way so they are the gym leaders of Faerun. I will also give them an Ace according to their different endings (good and bad).

Because there are 1025 pokemons, maybe I didn’t choose the ones you like. Don’t hesitate to propose your picks !

Coming home is a blur. Larry usually has his moments of disassociation, tiredness encapsulating his poor mind as it struggles to keep up with every single thing he's been assigned to do, but this is very startling in and of itself.

When did you take his coat? Where did his briefcase go? His tie? How did you get his shoes off??

Larry blinks owlishly at you, watching in muted shock as you flit back and forth, his Pokémon and yours following at your beck and call. He briefly pictures you in a flowing dress, singing to woodland creatures as you await a true love to come and find you, like in the movies Poppy enjoys.

But no, you're not awaiting anything. You smile at him, your supposed prince charming, who's too exhausted to stop you from pushing him onto the couch so you can bring him dish after dish of steaming food.

He recognizes them all as the things he usually orders from the Treasure Eatery, but none of them are from there. No, he can see the slight changes and imperfections that come from someone who is more normal in the kitchen, like you. You made all of this.

You made all of his favorite foods, just for him.

"Eat." You command, striding back towards the kitchen with his Staraptor trying to nip at the sleeves of your shirt so you'll drop some food for it to gobble up. "Before it gets cold, Larry!"

Larry turns to the food, slowly picking up a grilled rice ball, and bites into it. It tastes like the ones from the Treasure Eatery, but. . .

He looks to where you run your fingers through Staraptor's features, praising the bird for a good day's work.

It tastes better. Way better.

Hunger grips Larry like never before. He shoves what he can into his mouth, trying everything to see if your touch is truly magic like that. And it is, soothing his tongue like no other dish he's ever tried in his life.

A call of your name pulls you from your Pokémon-feeding duties. You trot back into the living room, plopping beside your overworked man, a hand easily resting on the back of his neck.

"It's good." Larry hums, sighing when you begin to gently massage away the knots he always carries.

"I'm glad." You say, truly relieved he likes your cooking. It's no Treasure Eatery, you know, but you wanted to show Larry how much you appreciated his hard work (even though you were of the mind that he shouldn't have three jobs like this). "I want to make things easier where I can."

Larry pecks a kiss to your lips. You're so stunned by the sudden affection that you don't resist him putting a rice ball to your lips.

"Life is easy with you." Larry says, simple as that. Because it is. "Eat. You need to."

You just chuckle, taking a happy bite. Hopefully he's as pleased with the massage gun you plan to reveal to him after he's showered.

Hi there! I wanted to preface this by saying that your submas and Nimbasa trio art are awesome, and I adore the way you draw them and write their interactions ❤️ . Their expressions, the way they move and interact with each other and the world around them, it's great 👍.

There's something I wanted to ask regarding your comics, and I ask this with the utmost respect 🙏, because it's something I've been wondering: where are their parents? It's awesome that they do all this stuff together, but the parents are, like, never brought up. Not even Elesa's after her introduction to the twins. And Ik that in the Pokemon verse, you're free to do whatever at age 10, but I still wanted to ask in your comics, at least, since they're still so young, if there's going to be any mentions of them.

I don't want you to feel pressured to draw designs for their parents or anything like that! It's perfectly understandable if you've never thought of the subject, I just wanted to know if they're still in the picture or if, for drama effect, they're orphans adopted by uncle Drayden in your lore. (Ofc, if you believe in the uncle Drayden theory, that is).

And once again, thank you for all the work you do! You're awesome, and your art is awesome 👌. And I really hope this ask doesn't come off as mean or offensive, I'm just really curious about anything you'd be willing to give about submas parents. Thank you 😊 for everything once again. Going to be honest, I didn’t really think about them parents much— pokemon treats most parent figures as non-entities, so… yeah. Feral teenagers running around.

If you want to hear my rambling though! (Note that this is all work in progress! Things are inclined to change.)

Worldbuilding for this iteration, I like to think it’s cultural that everybody has a pokemon starter/ ace that they grow with, but it depends on individuals to decide how close their lives intertwine. That in mind,

Ingo and emmet have two moms! Their ma’ is drayden’s twin sister— Kaita, haxorous ace, and a dragon specialist. And their mother, Lucielle, a stoutland ace, works as a full time trainer. The ladies are a bit absent from the twin’s life because they have their own business, but like to send Ingo and Emmet stuff from wherever they roam. (They tried their best when the kids were younger. But talking about having kids, and actually raising kids are two different topics in life.)

Drayden serves as an uncle figure for the twins, but he’s a bit bitter he got two patrats dumped on him.

((Does the lack of parent figures and a distant uncle have lasting effects on ingo and emmet? That’s up for your interpretation. Though it would explain latching onto each other and then later litwick and tynamo…))

As for the pachirisu child—

Elesa’s parents are separated. Her dad, Rin, works a full time desk job. He means the best, but he’s never home. He lost his staraptor a while back and is still dealing with the grieving process, and isn’t really equipped to look after a kid on top of all that. Elesa’s mom, Himawari, is still in Sinnoh and works as a ranger. Her ace is a solrock.

(Why are they separated? That’s for you guys to postulate! I am simply throwing ocs at the wall.)

Elesa was moved to unova partially due to her dad’s new job, and partially due to that Entire Nebulous Situation. She adapts fast, but it’s not a fun adaption.

Anyways, the twins and elesa in turn grew up very independent as a result.
